That's Not My Photograph. It's the work of Simon Roberts a Brighton-based photographer who spent three years travelling around the British coastline taking pictures of piers. Being a seasider myself, I have a penchant for piers (I almost feel quite spoiled having grown up in Blackpool, home to three sea-stepping structures. Almost). So, I'll be visiting Roberts' exhibition at Flowers Gallery in September and checking out his accompanying book Pierdom. But today we'll be treading the boards in Clevedon - we've headed out west for the Bank Holiday and are staying with a friend nearby - I'm always happy on the pier.
Enjoy the holiday weekend.
