Dresses with sleeves

Meet the sleeves of my favourite dress. An old LK Bennett sale bargain. Bought approximately seven to eight years ago, if memory serves. Did you hear that the latest research from University College London (published by the the British Medical Journal) shows that brain function declines from the age of 45?  Earlier than previously thought. Now, there's something I knew already. My brain hasn't been functioning properly for years. Anyhow, back to my favourite dress.  Which is made of silk and doesn't get to play out very often, I save it for special occasions like weddings, job interviews and so on. This is about as smart as I get. Ever.

Not quite the same style but beautiful in all it's khaki-silk-arm-covering glory is my dress of the week from Irwin & Jordan.

And people, this blog needs you! I'd love to post pictures of you and your favourite dresses with sleeves. So if you'd like to be involved please send a photograph to me at info@thatsnotmyage.com.

Very much looking forward to hearing from you.

I love your dress. I wear mostly separates, but I will see if I can come up with a pix to send you. I have a about four dresses with sleeves!!

I love how you've paired you LKB dress with that jacket. Since living in the "wilderness", I haven't worn a dress for ages. Only during the summer, and then they don't have sleeves ;-)
Yes, also read that about mental agility declining from 45. They obviously never asked me when they did their research; my mental agility started to decline 10 years earlier!

Oh, man, I have too many pix of dresses with sleeves, I don't know what to send! I guess this is the most spectacular set of sleeves:

Lots of dresses with sleeves in my closet...let me think. The thinking takes awhile now that I'm over 45.

You look amazing in the dress BTW. Why don't we get to see more photos of you?

Loving both those dresses, can't think of anything more to say as my brain is obviously in decline and last night's drinking didn't help.
I'm sure I have some sleeves somewhere, I'll see what I can dig out. x
PS We fly on Tuesday, hooray!

At my age I'm a great fan of sleeves - preferably 3/4 length - but I tend to go with separates because of the miss match between my bust size and my hips!
Glad to hear that someone else is noticing their brain decline too. I claim it's because our hard-drive is full!
Warm wishes

; )-I only have one dress with long sleeves, already shown on my blog.
Might someday wear it on - on my blog.
Meanwhile, interesting to see what others come up with!

Oh this will be fun to follow. Your dress is stunning! The Irwin & Jordan dress with the cowl neck is beautiful.

I'm still on the fence when it comes to dresses, prefer separates.

I'm always on the lookout for smart-looking, easy-to-wear dresses with sleeves. The one you're modelling here is great (and I love the simple way you've styled it) as is your "dress of the week" (although I could never do that defined waist).

I recently posted a fave, fun dress with sleeves here: http://materfamiliasknits.blogspot.com/2012/01/end-of-holiday-visibility-what-i-wore.html If I manage to get photos of others in the next little while I'll send them along. And I look forward to seeing what your readers send you!
